I have the latest drivers and my sound card is ok. I have unplugged and plugged back in my speakers and restarted the computer but still get no sound. I have no peripherals plugged in. I do not know what to do. If Windows says your speakers are not plugged in, then clearly Windows does not see speakers. If they are powered speakers, make sure you have them powered up. It is highly unlikely there is a problem with your computer. You might even try plugging in a different set of speakers to try out this diagnosis.
