Zoom fatigue is real — here’s why video calls are so draining |.Adding Alternative Hosts to a Zoom Meeting | Division of Information Technology

Our daily video meeting rhythm helps us to stay productive, happy and close-knit. We spend hundreds of hours per year in Zoom. So time-saving hacks, even if they just save a few seconds, can make a meaningful difference in our productivity. Record them for reference. Record it and get it transcribed. We do this for all of our founder interviews. Screen sharing is one of the key features that Zoom does better than any other video conferencing platform we tried.

You can access Audio Settings directly from a Zoom call by clicking the arrow next to the microphone. Does Zoom allow you to have two meetings scheduled at the same time initiated from the same account?

IE two 50 person meetings at 6pm? Go to Solution. Licensed users on Enterprise, Business, and Education accounts can host up to 2 meetings at the same time. Both meetings need to be started by the original meeting host or by an alternative host. The host can leave the meeting and pass host privileges to another user if needed. View solution in original post. Hi tschultz89 , It is possible, but it depends on your account type. You can find out more about hosting concurrent meetings.

Our tests have not shown a limit to the number of meetings that can be in one user account as long as there are different folk to host them. For instance, we have successfully run and recorded to cloud 5 concurrent meetings each with a different alternative host on one user account.

Since this time, I’ve encountered the same limit as others. We have not made any changes to the account that should have caused this. I think zoom is “correcting” things. Concurrent means the same user hosting more than one meeting at the same time. I even tried just toggling random settings off one at a time, and nothing changed. If this helps, when I go to the get help link in the windows audio settings, it plays a tone to check if there are any audio problems.

This is the only other sound I can hear in a meeting. Even discord pings are silent in a meeting. Ok then, Let’s try this: Method 1: Try to run the troubleshooter for apps to diagnose the exact issue. Method 2: Check the volume settings. Please follow the steps below and see if it helps. Right click on the speaker icon in taskbar and select volume control options.

Put a check mark on “All devices currently playing sound”. Make sure you have “The default communication device unchecked”. Place a check mark on both speakers and headphones. Click Apply and OK. Hope that fix it for you! Let me know if you need anymore help! I couldn’t follow the exact steps, but messing with the sound settings fixed my problem! The microphone will work for 2 or 3 seconds and then stop working in both zoom and google hangouts.

I used zoom several times earlier this week without any issue. I didn’t change any settings. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another.

To be clear, the built in microphone is working and picking up sound, so these steps are not helping the issue.

When using either zoom or google hangouts in meetings the mic will work for about 3 seconds and then will stop. I’ve also followed these steps from the zoom support site, which are the same as what’s linked to above.

The same with the google hang out support advice. I thought that an issue might have been with using audacity or presonus, which had me download ASIO audio interface, but both of those applications are picking up sound from the microphone.

On those you choose between audio interfaces. On presonus, which I haven’t opened in weeks, I made sure that the audio interface selected was windows audio just to be safe.
